Singer GYUBIN participates in the 20th anniversary project of the Korean Wave’s beginning, presenting the song “Flower,” the main title track of the 2006 KBS 2TV drama Spring Waltz.
GYUBIN’s rendition of the drama Spring Waltz’s “Flower” is the concluding installment of KBS director Yoon Seok-ho’s seasonal series, following Autumn in My Heart, Winter Sonata, and Summer Scent. The drama starred actors Han Hyo-joo, Seo Do-young, Daniel Henney, Shim Eun-kyung, and Super Junior’s Choi Si-won.

Spring Waltz’s “Flower” was composed by director Park Jung-won, who served as the overall music director for Autumn in My Heart and Winter Sonata, which opened the door to the Korean Wave at the time. Following those dramas, it aired in Japan and became known as the main theme song. It was also re-recorded and released as a Japanese version OST.

GYUBIN’s new version of “Flower” begins with a piano melody, accompanied by a beautiful cello performance that creates an ensemble. Following the melody, a grand 16-piece orchestra performance, along with GYUBIN’s delicate and emotional voice, makes the song even more poignant.
GYUBIN’s voice is considered sufficient to deeply move listeners as a ballad.

GYUBIN’s upcoming release of “Flower” is part of the 20th anniversary project of the Korean Wave’s beginning, which started last year, as a participating album artist. Previously, singers Chuu, (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon, Pentagon’s Hui, and EXO’s Chanyeol each participated with OSTs for the dramas Summer Scent, Autumn in My Heart, and Winter Sonata.
