Ahn Jae-wook’s signature song ‘Friend’ is reborn through the voice of Hwang Karam.
‘Friend’ is a reinterpretation of Taiwanese singer Wakin Chau’s original song ‘朋友’, with Korean lyrics by Shim Hyun-bo, and has consistently resonated across generations with its message of unchanging friendship and longing.
Hwang Karam, who has received much love for his sincere songs like ‘I’m a Firefly’, delicately expresses a plain yet deep emotional line in this remake, once again reflecting on the meaning of ‘Friend’ that everyone can relate to.
On a day when someone you suddenly miss comes to mind,
In a moment when you long for someone who was once closest to you.
Hwang Karam’s warm voice reinterpretation of ‘Friend’ brings to mind precious connections from times past, and retrieves a piece of memory long forgotten.
